Christmas in July

July is always a great month to start thinking about Christmas Cards.  If you do one or two per week or even per month you’ll have a nice little cache of cards before Christmas comes around, and no need for panic!

This card is a simple one, it took all of 5 minutes.

  • Firstly I chose red as my main colour as the green ribbon and the Gold Jasmine Laser Flourish are perfect contrasts.  I inked my chipboard letters and bauble and left them to dry.
  • I then rounded the corners on my base card and the black matt that is the background – then I added the ribbon and made the double bow with a bow easy tool.
  • I grabbed the bauble and positioned Jasmine so that it resembled the decorations you find on a real Christmas Bauble and trimmed of the excess.
  • I then attached JOY to the card and hot-glued the bow in place.

Easy Peasy, 1 down – (and what feels like 2 million) to go!!

I hope you feel inspired to start creating your Christmas Cards – I will be back in a few days with some more Christmas Ideas :-)
