Melbourne Paperific Expo

27th – 29th August, 2010

What a fabulous weekend we all just had at the Paperific Expo in Melbourne.

A very big thank you to Amanda and her team at “The Mad Scrapper” for displaying our entire Flourish with a Bling range in her stall. This was the first time our range was at Paperific, and WOW!! How exciting it was to see smiling customers walking out with some of our products and showing them to their friends! Just being able to see the interest and excitement to our range by fellow scrappers and cardmakers was such a thrill.

It was great meeting Amanda and her team and putting a face to the names, and our appreciation goes out to her and the girls for giving us this opportunity. Thanks so much! Please check out Amanda’s website “The Mad Scrapper” for any of your scrapping needs at

L-R Lucy, Kate, Jen, Maggie and Amanda, owner of The Mad Scrapper.

We were also lucky enough to meet and catch up with a few more of our stockists at the show. Fiona from “Scrappers Delight”, Julie from “Scraptacular”, and Vicki from “Paper2”. A very big thank you also goes out to them for their continued support of us as we continue to grow as a wholesaler supplying the industry with a wider range of colours and designs in scrapbooking and cardmaking embellishments. It was great meeting you all and having a chat, and we look forward to catching up with you all again at the next show.

Luckily for us, we also managed to do a lot of shopping….. and I mean a lot!! It was so much fun as there is always so much to see, new ranges to buy, and of course new mediums to try out.

As there were quite a few make and takes and demonstrations throughout the weekend, we managed to drag ourselves to a few stations! LOL The “Scrapmatts” stall was doing a small make and take using chipboard butterflies and the gellyroll pens. Needless to say there are now a couple of new addicts in the making!

Another new medium for us all is the world of copic markers. Thanks to Sammi and her team at “Mad for Markers”, we managed to nearly empty out our bank accounts buying up on a range of the markers, stamps, paper and ink pads….and of course a bag for them to go in too!  So after the show, and dinner at the Casino, we went back to our hotel and spent the night colouring in cute little pictures of sweet little girls and boys holding flowers and presents! Should I also tell you all that whilst we were having dinner on our way back home on the Sunday night that we took out our copic markers, gellyroll pens and coloured in at the restaurant too! Addicts in the making for sure. Check out our gallery over the next few weeks to see some of our new creations.

So a big thank you again to Sammi and her team at “Mad for Markers” for your time and patience in showing us a little on how to use the markers and stamps. We had soooo much fun.

Another few stalls we loved watching demos and gained loads of inspiration from all the gorgeous creations up on display was “Twiddleybitz” and “Collections Rubber Stamps”. WOW again! The work they do is just amazing with all the OTP projects they offer. Thanks for the chat Julie and giving us a little insight into craft shows and for showing us that great new paint and stamping technique.

If you went to the Expo, we hope you had as much fun as we did!

Until next time, Happy Scrapping and cardmaking and anything and everything creative that any of you may do.
